Applied to Many Jobs and No One Replies: What to Do
If you have applied to many jobs and heard nothing, first check that your application actually reached the employer's own hiring system and that your CV reads correctly there. Then follow up once by email, widen the companies you reach with both applications and emails, and record what happened to each one.
No reply usually has a cause you can check: the application did not arrive, the CV was not read, the job did not fit, or the company does not reply to every applicant.
You are not alone
The complaint is common. In a review on the Saudi App Store for a job app, a user wrote (in Arabic) that they applied to more than 500 openings and not one called (2 September 2026) [1]. That does not mean there is no hope. It means the way you apply needs a check.
1. Check that your application reached the company itself
Many applications go to an intermediary platform while the company hires from its own system. If the posting sends you to the company site, the real application is there:
- Open the company's Careers page and see whether it uses a hiring system such as Workday, Oracle or SuccessFactors.
- If you applied in that system, sign in to your candidate account and check your status. The statuses are explained in Workday application status meanings.
- If you used LinkedIn Easy Apply, read does LinkedIn Easy Apply reach the company.
2. Check that your CV is read correctly
After you upload your CV to a hiring system, many systems fill in the form from it. If the fields come out empty or wrong, the system did not read the file well. Details in how to write an ATS CV.
3. Review the jobs you apply to
- Apply to jobs that match your field and experience, even if you do not match every line.
- Watch for jobs restricted by Saudization rules. Read Nitaqat and Saudization.
- If a posting is old, the job may be closed.
4. Follow up once with a short email
If the company lists an official hiring email, send one follow-up about a week after you apply:
Dear Hiring Team, I am following up on my application for [Job Title] sent on [date]. I remain very interested in the role. My CV is attached. [Name], [Mobile]
More in job email templates. Do not email the same company again and again.
5. Widen your reach: applications and emails together
Some companies take applications in a hiring system, others hire through their HR email. Using both reaches more companies. Read how to send your CV to company emails and how many applications it takes to get an interview.
6. Record what happened to each application
A simple table is enough: company, job, date, where you applied, status, did the email bounce, did they reply. Without it you cannot tell what works.
On Badali you do not need the table: you choose every job and Badali applies for you on the employer's hiring system, emails your CV to companies you choose by industry, and shows every application and the status of every email: delivered, bounced or replied. You start with 3 applications and 5 emails free, no card.
Frequently asked questions
Why don't companies reply to job applications?
Common reasons: the application never reached the company's own system, the CV was not read correctly, the job closed, or the company replies only to the people it shortlists.
How long should I wait before following up?
About a week after you apply is a reasonable time for one follow-up email. In a hiring system you can check your status at any time.
Should I pay someone who promises me a job?
Do not pay for a promise of a guaranteed job, because hiring decisions belong to employers. Badali itself does not guarantee a job, but it shows you where every application and email went.
Does Badali follow up with companies for me?
Badali sends the application and the email to the companies you choose and shows the status of each in your dashboard. You decide when and how to follow up.
